Replacing the electrodes in a Life Point AED defibrillator

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) The kit includes disposable electrodes. Their expiration date varies depending on the manufacturer. The shortest expiration date is 1.5 years.

The pads in Life Point AED defibrillators (Life Point Pro AED, Life Point b Plus AED) have an expiration date of 2-2.5 years. Because they are not integrated with the battery, we only replace the pads after the expiration date or after the pads are worn out during a rescue.

Information about the expiration date of the Life Point AED defibrillator pads is placed on the packaging in a place visible to the user.

Do not use electrodes after their expiration date, as the adhesive on the electrodes may lose its effectiveness after this date. It may be difficult to properly adhere the electrodes to the injured person's chest. As a result, improperly applying the electrodes can lead to disruptions in cardiac analysis and the delivery of an electrical discharge (shock).
